All Greater North Foundation Senior Independent Living Accommodations are smoke and pet free environments.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

  • Independent living in self-contained, apartment style units.
  • No housekeeping or meal services are included.
  • Lawn and grounds maintenance is completed by the foundation staff.

SENIORS INDEPENDENT LIVING

Eligibility Requirements

Must be at least 65 years of age or older

Must be able to live independently with or without community-based services

Must be in core housing need (currently live in an unsuitable, inadequate or unaffordable dwelling and cannot afford alternative housing in their community)

Consists of Canadian citizens, individuals lawfully admitted into Canada for permanent residence, refugees sponsored by the Government of Canada, or individuals who have applied for refugee or immigration status and for whom private sponsorship has broken down

Meets the residency requirements, if any, prescribed by the management body

Applicants may be interviewed as part of the approval process. All applications are assessed based on the need for housing with priority for the next available suite going to the applicant in greatest need.
